I bought a DR 650 a few months ago. It's better for where I live now. Lots of rural roads.

I used to live in California. Lots of long straight roads to get anywhere. The 1000 is great for that!

If you're on the fence of 650 vs. 1000...
The 1000 is a much nicer bike than the 650. I've had both.
