What happened to your shock that it needs replacing @ 16,000 miles?

That was my thought. Had 50K+ on my 650 before a rebuild.

I didn't even get 20,000ks (13000 miles) from the rear shock on my Wee.

I blame it on being lazy and not tuning the shock to the type of ridding I was doing, the shock was working hard the keep the rear wheel hooked up, it got hot and spat all the oil out.

o_O 16000miles.

Or you want to replace it because you don't like it? Have you tried adjusting it?

Just a thought.

I think the OEM shock on my 2016 is reasonably good and I assume it is the same as the 2014. As such I have no desire to change it. However the shock on my former Triumph Explorer was not great so I replaced it with a Wilbers. Based on that usage I can strongly recommend the Wilbers as a replacement.
