AAARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!! Just getting back from a Great Lakes trip the week before, and I leave for Deals Gap the week after. To keep things civil at home, probably best not to be gone for 3 weekends in a row.

To anyone thinging about it, JUST GO! Rich runs a great route, and it is a total run at your own pace ride. They will get ahead, but they do stop and wait for you to catch up ... and thanks to all who had to wait for me last year. The roads are AMAZING, and if you are riding on the streets now, you can handle these roads. The campground is quite nice as well, clean and friendly, except for the owners dog (not friendly). Bring a tent and get a nice spot by the river.

* Deliberately different area and camp ground and river
Near to the apex of last route about 80 miles from last time.

There are roads there that justify the trip by itself. I will be going up there sometime regardless of whether there is interest in "the weekend"

This area is my target for last 2 years. I was planning to be there last year. It didn't work out. And now - August 3rd. Why?! It's my better one birthday! In addition pretty round one...

I had to go with the last choice. But, as I'm going on a 2-3K mile jaunt in July, I won't be able to get to NH in August. :(

Looks like a nice route. What are the toughest dirt roads like? We ride double on dirt roads alot. Possible to ride double on these with the wife?

the only road that would be questionable is Sandwich Notch Road, I've ridden it 2 up before but it should be considered a "2 track trail" and if you go over 25mph, it would be fast

I plan on getting some video footage before hand that I will post

I don't want anyone to go down certainly , but a little adventure pucker as seasoning should be welcome. Nest pas

Tedious Note:

All my moaning last year was really based upon my original idea if I could get like 25 there would be catered meals and possibly entertainment. With this just a fun weekend it is easy just to be even if I am just following Randy around is cool with me. I will post in events more details.

Randy,
Compared to last year's off road - I remember two parts, in the morning and in the afternoon - is it going to be same difficulty level, some what harder or much harder?

Thanks for the picture. I was picturing Sandwich Notch Road totally different. We have been 2-up in mud and water holes, but this is more like our usual dirt roads we ride. Looks like great riding.

that is one of the better parts, I plan riding there, maybe this weekend, getting some video and pics, the road grows rocks with frost action every year, mostly it gets kinda lumpy, occasional washout, drainage is mostly waterbars and timber bridges across streams

I feel very comfortable with a large adventure bike such as the V-strom on this road

not as smooth and well graded as Cherry Mountain Road below

Is there a motel or cabin facilities nearby? In my old age I like a bed and a shower and a roof for when it pours! Could try camping but havent done it in years and not sure if I have equipment. Thanks--CArl
