I added a fuel commander to my 2007 last year. It is the best thing Ive done to the bike. I liked the bike but it just didnt have the low end power I thought it would. Also when riding the bike at slow speeds it would surge and jerk. I sync the throttle bodies and set the tp sensor. Still wasnt happy. Added the fuel commander. Love it. Bike has tons more low end power and no more jerking and surging at slow speeds. The bike now has great power in all the gears. Im sure lots of you guys have already done this but thought I would add my experience with it.

I agree. Just added the dynojet pcfc. Wow. What a difference. The bottom end is much smoother and increased power through the rpm. No mods necessary. Just using the factory installed map. 2010 Dl 1000

fuel commander

I also used the installed map. I like the V strom but just didnt feel like the fuel was sorted out well. After the fuel commander. Total different bike. It doesnt have to be in the perfect gear to pull hard. Even at lower rpms in upper gears it pulls hard. Overdrive wasnt really usable unless you were on the hiway doing 80. After the fuel cammander has great power. It does get less mpg but its worth it.

I also put one (PCFC) on K6 Vee this month, and it made all the difference in the world. With the pre-installed map, my MPG went from 43 to 38, but that's a good trade-off. I really enjoy riding this bike now.

Anybody install a new map on a PC5 , i have Two Brothers exhaust , and ordered a K&N air cleaner, with the slip ons, and PC5 is does run great, no popping or hesitation, just feels like it could use more fuel in the higher RPM Range, I have a Modded 97 TL1000s, so maybe i am expected more than is realistic
