Bought a stand for my smartphone, and I started to use the 12V outlet for charging the phone with a 12V/USB5V adapter. Have you experienced the plug to fall out?

The plug is very loose, and because it is facing downwards (maybe for not letting water sit there) and the shaking MC, the plug tends to fall out.

How do you guys keep it in :devil_22:

Regards, Lars.

Many people wrap tape around the plug.

You put the tape so it is built up & tapered, it needs to meet the socket nice and tight just as the plug gets fully pushed home.

Or you could make a plastic or timber wedge that can be jammed into the socket after the plug is pushed home, you may still need some tape to hold the wedge in place.

Those sockets and plugs will never be a good system.

The plug is spring loaded on the positive terminal to help keep the power in contact but that spring will also push the plug out of the socket.
