2022 1050 xt adventure owners manual page 3-32 states API-SJ,SN,SM,SN 10w-40 is equivalent to the Japan rating of JASO MA.....I see more and more 0w-40 offerings in stores and I have several gallons for my Ram 6.4 on the shelf....does anyone use this?**NOTE-I do see where manual saz use only SJ or SL API-contradition

Interesting, can't find the 1050 listed on the sites I just checked. That's the same one as for the DL650 & DL1000 (so that makes sense), $11.46 USD at Ron Ayers, and as always you have to watch shipping costs.

If the oil filter is the same as used on the previous models, as suggested in #4 above, then the list of oil filters as posted in #2 of Oil Filter Options.... may be worth having a look at.
