trois-rivieres

One thing that sicks in my mind when I did the trip to La Tuque was the bridge over the St. Lawerence at Trois-Riviers. You can see it from 20 miles away and it is just as impressive to ride over.

Hey Scoot,
Yes, this in an impressive bridge, but nothing like the Confederation bridge that crosses to Prince Edward Island. Now that is a bridge!!!!!!

I do think the Trois-Rivieres bridge is a little more impressive then the Québec City bridge.

Here are two shots of the Québec City Bridge from this last trip.

The Miramichi Bridge isn't too shabby though.

The one bridge that has totally "freaked" me out is, the Miscou Island bridge. There is very little protection to the sides of the bridge. Last year I crossed it in very heavy winds. I could only use 1st and 2nd gear and ride right up the center of the bridge, swearing and praying at the same time. It was the most frightened I have ever been while riding my motorcycle. I was at the limit of my riding abilities to keep the bike upright and moving forward.

Here is a shot of that bridge taken from the nearby marina.

Here is a "one-handed" crossing of the Trois-Rivieres bridge I shot Memorial Day Weekend, 2009. My right-hand was on the throttle and my left hand was holding my camera.

I actually have been working on a ride report for this trip. Yesterday, my landlord lent me his laptop so that I could sit at the Long Pond beach and do more typing. That so I could work AND have pleasure!!!

Got to head downstairs and change the oil in the bike. I'm headed down to Portland to visit with my daughter for the day. Looks like I will be wearing my rain-gear.
