I know most dislike the stock sheilds. I'm one of those people who actually wants my helmet in the wind, so my question is as follows:

Has anybody cut the stock screen down to allow more airflow to the head, rather than just going higher to have it go up and around?

On my KLR, I cut the top flip section off the stock shield and ended up EXACTLY as I wanted it, for $0 cost and 10 minutes of time. Is this possible with a Strom?? I have a tall torso which gets me up higher than average, also.

Just a thought.

I cut mine down to about even with the fairing and didn't notice a difference.

I gave it away to member here and he liked it. So I guess it might work for you.

OK, I went in the opposite direction and added my own Lamina-Lip, which I made out of Lexon I got at Home Depot for $10. It did a very good, but then a friend of mine gave me an OEM shield from her Burgman 650 and after drilling new mounting holes I was able to install it on the Wee-Strom. Not the prettiest looking setup but its the best one for me. I’m 5’8” with a 29” inseam and I can still look over the top.
