Can any audio/GPS combo work for me?

My head is spinning from the research and one of you may be able to provide a quick answer. Here is what I want.
  • In helmet turn by turn from GPS.
  • Ability to listen to my podcasts from my phone.
  • Ability to make/receive phone calls.
I can do this now but have to have my Scala Rider Q2 for the phone and GPS and earbuds for my phone/mp3. I want everything going through one set of speakers or buds. As it is right now, if the earbuds are in and I get the phone notification the audio from the earbuds is not silenced. I want to accomplish all of this with the minimal amount of cables as well. Are we looking at Autocom here? Or a Mix-It2 from Aerostich (which does not seem to be waterproof)?
HELP!

GPS from phone or what?

I use the GPS/NAV from GOOGLE maps in my phone. Hooked via bluetooth thru a SENA SMH10 it'll do all that you want.

Now that I have this thing I wished I would have just stayed in the stone ages. It's sometimes advantageous to be unreachable via phone...

10-95, I plan on getting the TomTom 5 GPS and using the phone as my mp3 player / phone. This way I could play (I think) the mp3 (from the phone) audio through the GPS bluetooth and the phone function would go through it's own bluetooth pairing with whatever device I decide to use. This I believe would work with something like the Sena SMH 10?

The Autocom route looks like it would work as well but much more costly. Was trying to get ideas of what others are doing so I appreciate your feedback. It may end up the way I go just for cost savings.

I have the uclear 100 boomless helmet communicator that effectively does what you are asking from my iPhone.
Cost 149.00

So far I am happy with it. I can also hit two buttons and tell Siri to do things for me. Like play a certain playlist. Call some one. Find the nearest gas station.

The phone will mute music when a phone call is coming in. Just say hello and it picks up. Music resumes when you are done.

I'm happy with Autocom. I mainly listen to music from my iPod. I can (and have) listened to nav instructions from my Zumo, done bluetooth phone and listened to music through Zumo, talked via FRS/GMRS radio through the unit and had a passenger on the back that I could converse with and share music.

Expensive though but it works well.

My Opinion:
Vee or V= DL1000 before 2014
Vee2 or V2 = DL1000 2015 to 2019
Vee3 or V3 = DL1050 2020 to?

My Stroms:
2006 DL650: 202,000 km 125,500 miles, Sold
2012 DL650 139,500+ km, 86,700+ miles. Sold
2015 DL1000 New July 2015 205,000+ km, 127,000+ miles.

This can help preventing from cars pulling out in front of you (SMIDSY)

Word of caution. Some blue tooth headsets (eg SENA) will only play one AD2P protocols at a time. If you have 2, you can only hear one. Check what your protocols are cost. DAMHINT
