Adapting earbuds/microphone to intercom system
Hello all...I'm not an electronics techie sort of guy, so I need a bit of help. I have a Lexin bluetooth helmet intercom. It's surprisingly good for what I paid for it (it's a Chinese import, but works really well). It suffers from a common problem with intercoms; at highway speed, the speakers leave something to be desired. The speakers and mic plug into the intercom unit in a combined jack. I'd like to be able to switch over and use earbuds on occasion, but not disable the helmet speakers, and still be able to use a microphone so I can use the intercom to talk to my passenger. Earbuds work fine with the intercom, if all I want to do is listen to music, but plugging in earbuds into the only jack on the intercom means taking out the jack that also has the microphone. Can anyone suggest a way to either integrate a set of earbuds into the system or, failing that, can anyone suggest an earbud/microphone (like the kind that come with iPhones) that would probably work with my intercom?
