Back in July, I got myself a zümo 660 GPS. Rather than just bolting it to the handlebars, I wanted a more elegant solution, and I decided to get the SW Motech fancy-pants anti-vibration mount
that positions the zümo right above the instrument cluster. To me, that's the perfect place for it.
Unfortunately, as I was ordering, I noticed that one needs to get a special adapter
to get the 660 cradle to mate to the Motech mount. And these adapters, of course, are not in stock at Twisted Throttle. First they said they'd be arriving in late August, now they're saying late September.
The adapter doesn't appear to be anything particularly complex. Judging from the instruction sheet, it's just four spacers and perhaps some longer screws and washers. I can't tell what material the spacers are made of: Aluminum? Rubber (as part of the whole anti-vibration thing)? Plastic? Delrin? Whalebone?
Does anyone out there in V-Strom-land know of another place to order SW Motech components? Every link keeps bringing me back to Twisted Throttle. I'm happy to order from overseas, as long as I can get these bits sooner than the end of next month.
Thanks for any suggestions!
