Combined voltmeter and gear position indicator

Hi strommers

Has anyone tried these? I've contacted them and sadly they don't make a plug and play harness for stroms. I like the compact size and the combined display...

They have a PDF here that describes how to connect the universal module to the DL650 and DL1000. Only four wires.

Now, which color works best?

It's also likely to be the brightest LED in daylight.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

I'm in the middle of fitting it all up. Will report when it's done.

Funny that my 1979 GS750 had a gear position indicator but my brand new 2009 doesn't
