Smile CCS-100 Alternative to Stock Control Panel

Anyone have a good clear set of instructions for installing the ccs-100 cruise control on the Wee? If so, I will trade the instructions for eliminating the UGLY audiovox control panel and replacing it with two small toggle switches for a superior, professional look. You can even add an led for a on/off indicator.

Check out the attachments for the wiring diagram and a picture of the install on my ST1300. It works fantastic, is very simple to do, and costs very little for the parts...

The led I used calls for a 680 ohm resistor. It is not very bright at night due to being sandwiched between the switches yet is visible during the day. But really, there is no reason to have the light since the left hand switch is up when on and down when off. The right switch is center off and up for set and down for resume functions. This eliminates the gray control panel completely but uses the same wiring harness. There are LEDs with built-in resistors but they seemed too long to fit the housing. The switches are mini-micros from the local electronics store. The thumbnail here shows the specifics if you're interested.

If you need clarification, PM me and I will try to help...
Safe riding to all..

See for a full installation.,4611.0.html for a simplified wiring diagram,40.0.html for many threads on the subject
See page 3 at,8644.60.html for bringing the pull cable from the front instead of the method used in the first link. It's a much better solution that won't have the cable scraping paint off the tank.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Please vote in the poll on what Strom(s) you have at
