Blackerry head set

Ive worn out the search button looking for an answer to this. I have a new blackberry flip phone and want to use it with my Shoei Multitec. Does any one know of a microphone-earbud combo that will work in this app? Thanks, Curt

Most Blackberry stuff is proprietary, so any cell phone headset won't work (you prolly know this). I found a stereo headset/microphone for my Pearl on Amazon.com ($8.99+ship), but can't use the mike under my helmet because it's PTT. It works good for listening to tunes and it will let you know if you get a call, but I can't push the talk button with a gloved hand. If you want access to your calls while you ride, you may want to look at a bluetooth headset. Some jobs (like mine) require me to be in contact even when I'm not there, so the Camos headset is a better option for me. Good luck!

The Scala Bluetooth headsets work fine with Blackberrys but I'm not sure how you would mount it on a Multitec. The mounting bracket would probably be too far to the rear to allow the boom microphone to be positioned in front of your mouth.

You could of course go to a full wired Autocom solution.

I have a Scala headset and use it on a HJC Symax II. I had to get an XL headset and mount it further back on the helmet but it works just fine with the HJC flip face. The boom mic arm is longer on the XL Scala headset.

Go to the above link then go to "Products" then "Motorcycle Headsets" then at the bottom of the page go to "Accessories" and look for the XL size helmet Clamp for Scala near the bottom of the page. For some reason the direct link doesn't work but this will get you there.

And by the way, this works just fine with a Blackberry and also my Zumo GPS, I'm very pleased with the function.

I think every homeless person should have one.

Doesn't need to be funtional.

This way people who actually use them in crowded public places may learn something about themselves.

Not that there's anything wrong with the responsible, considerate use of this technology.
