Scala Q2 MP3 question

I've got a question for anyone that uses the direct plug-in MP3 cord into their Scala Q2 headset. I was wondering what the charge-life of the headset is with the mp3 player playing the whole time. Or even with music being broadcast via BT. I'd hate to find out that I need to find a wall outlet every 2 hours or something.
Thanks,
Chris in Boston

The Q2 is on anyway, it uses next to nothing extra power with the mp3, so the original should be good. The plug in is a direct feed to the speakers which is always on anyway.

I've got the Q2 and I don't see a place to plug in an mp3 player. Is there a model with and without that place to plug it in?

Are you sure that you have a Q2?
All Q2's have the port to connect a MP3 player the earlier Scala Rider and Scala Teamset models did not.

It's on the back side of the mic part that stays attached to the helmet. It ends up being just below the charging plug hole when everything is together.

In this situation that may not be quite correct K1W1

The Q2 I bought locally did not have the MP3 socket in it, I found this out after getting it home and unpacking it. So I took it back and they had to send away for a newer 'shelf stock' version. It is exactly the same box except it has a sticker on it on the right hand side, nothing else on the box recognises the fact it is MP3'd

I did not take a photo of the original box, but believe me, in the store when I returned it and had them side by side they are identical, except for that sticker.

fnord, if you just bought yours recently, you may have a case to return it and swap it out. When I bought mine, I specifically mentioned the fact I wanted it for MP3 capability and I had actually seen these in Coffs Harbour on a friends helmet, so I knew they were around.

Cheers

Interesting every piece of information I have ever seen about the Q2 says they have the MP3.
I wonder who stuffed up.

The original Q2 did not have the MP3 plug. Watch for it if you're out to buy a set.

Good to know, at least I know I've got a fresh one! Does the "Q2" name mean it has two speakers? The last one I used was borrowed, and had only one speaker in the helmet. But that was a few years ago.
Thanks for all the info.

I've got two Team Rider sets (four helmets in all) that all have two speakers per set.
I think the Q2 just differentiates this from the earlier models (Team Rider and Rider) that used a different Bluetooth chipset
