Exclamation Hyper-Lite.... brake or running lights

Found an old thread under the wee section, thought I'd revive it here. https://stromtrooper.com/showthread.php?t=22094&highlight=hyper+lites

Also looked around the web and found a few more sites that offer these lights, and the variety is amazing. For my wife and me I'll probably get the 5 second flashing then solid light. Also need to see what the city / state ordinance is.

Just be aware that all those blinking lights can confuse old simple mountain folk.

Hyperlites were one of the first things I put on my Wee. Had them on the BMW I sold before getting the Wee and got several comments from people following how bright they were on the BMW.

I have since added 2 waterproof flexible 19" strips of LED's from Superbrightleds.com under the red lens of my cheap-o JCWhitney trunk that I spliced into the Hyperlites control module. Works great, with the standard Hyperlite LED mounted over the plate and the LED's trunk functioning as running lights and then blink when brakes applied. To be honest the blinking IS a bit much even if for only 5 seconds and I do worry that someone behind me may go into a seizure due to all the damn blinking, but they at least get the idea not to run into me... Hyperlite control modules will officially support up to 8 of their own LED modules on a single controller (I emailed and asked them) and they did say that other LED's would possibly work, but they couldn't support it. So my LED strips on the trunk are outside Hyperlites support.

Also of note, Hyperlite apparently makes a "California" model that only blinks a couple of times before going solid per state law if you are concerned about the excessive blinking going on back there.
