with regards to LED lighting ...

I am still on the fence what to get. My question this time is:

I see a lot of beam patterns diagramed on websites. With regards to floods, is the beam pattern equal in all directions or is there a cutoff. I see folks with lights mounted on light bars so they either hang or sit on top of the bar. I have also seen some mounted sideways on the engine bars and the small printing runs vertical on the lens cover. Is there a difference in coverage and "appearance" to oncoming vehicles if the are turned either way? I was thinking that if the light pattern is more oval in a lt/rt direction, you would not want to mount it running vertical!

Hope this makes sense.

These are pics of my 2 led flood's light patterns. They show the circular light centers and the peripheral light patterns.
