Garmin StreetPilot c340

It's on sale for $179 at J&R in New York, free shipping. Really would like to hear from anyone who has used THIS SPECIFIC GPS. I can mount it in a water protected spot behind my screen. Anyone?

I have one

I have this GPS and love it. HOWEVER, they have started making another model that has a better screen that can be read in bright sunlight. My buddy get it (can't remember the model number) and it is easier to read.

$169 at Amazon w free shipping...

...great price - I paid almost $500. But as Two Wheels said, its hard to see in direct sun. Ok for car, but if I was getting a gps to use on a bike it would be a C500 series or a Streetpilot 2600 series. Zumos are nice but $$$.

The C340 is a great gps. Very basic features but very user friendly.

The cradle that comes with the unit just plain sucks. Ram cradles and mounts are sooo much better.

I just mounted mine tonight on the Strom using the method described by Carsalesman

I will try it out tomorrow. I'm thinking I will have to add a glare shield to see it better.
