12v CLA help please! ***resolved***

I bought one of those chargers that has a single 5v usb charger& a 12v cla type next to it. The 5v charger works but the 12v doesn't. I tested all components in my truck and everything is good, so I figured the 12v side was bad. So I bought another. Same deal. 5v works, 12v does not. Again, all cables, adaptors, etc have been tested & they all work.

So is there something special I need to do to get the 12v to work? Electrical isn't my thing so I'm really frustrated here. I have a long road trip coming up & I need the 12v cla working!

Do you have a link you can post so we can see what it is?
Is it possible that the accessory you try in it has a nominal current that exceed the capacity of your charger?
Do you have the spec, and what are the 12v accessory you are trying in it?

It's one of these.

Motorcycle 12V USB Waterproof Cigarette Lighter Power Port Outlet Socket Black | eBay

Thanks to a text from unfumdisi the issue is resolved! The adaptor is too short so the metal post on the bottom doesn't touch the bottom of the socket. I put a small nut inside the socket, put in the adaptor and it works as it should!

Unfortunately, now I have a spare one lol

I tried editing the thread title to show the issue is resolved but it won't show. Mods, can you change it?
