Sena SMH5 and iPhone Mounts

I just did my first trip with the Sena. I used it mostly for an in ear GPS with my iPhone. Once I figured out that I was moving the volume the wrong way, it worked amazingly well!!! I do, however, now want an iPhone mount and a plug for said iPhone because it did burn through a lot of battery! Plus, I plan to use the iPhone to check my speedo.

I've seen the Ram mount set up, which looks good, but I already have a Rokform case for my iPhone (which I love) and saw that they have two motorcycle mounts. Anyone try one of theirs yet? (Or am I the guinea pig?)

Wow, at $123, they are pretty proud of their handlebar mount. Think I'll stick with my RAM configuration.

Lighten up, Francis. If you can't take some sarcasm, an Internet forum is the last place you should be.

Ditto... They better be incredible mounts for >$90+

My RAM X-Grip is $43 at Amazon. I've had it for years, and it never let me down (plus it will hold any phone, and there's another for tablets/phablets).

When I was looking at the Ram, I was doing it with the strombone mount as well, which, with the other parts necessary, brought it up to the range of the Rokform. $43 is way better.

I am quite happy to put my Iphone in the clear map top of my tank bag, I have the Warm and Safe USB adapter for my heated gear and I just plug my tank bag into the lead. works great, I can see it and its not yet another thing I have to remember to remove from the bike if I park it. I grab the tank bag and away I go.

Tried that. Didn't work for me 'cause I use the phone for music while riding (can't do without the tunes - keeps me balanced). So, can't use the touchscreen in the tank bag (that's why my last three pairs of gloves are all RevIt touchscreen).

I mount my phone on the outside of the map holder on my tank bag with Velcro and it's worked great for me for years. The tank bag absorbs shock, easy to reach and see and swipe for the next tune. I don't ride in the rain so getting wet isn't a problem. If I did I would put the phone under the map holder like you do and change music with my Sena SM15 FM toggle.

I've been using Trident cases for years and now they are offering a handlebar mount that works with their Kraken AMS series of cases.

Arkon Bike/Rail Mount

So far it has treated me well, and when I forget my phone on the bike like I did this weekend and it sits through an overnight thunderstorm I know it will be dry and functional when I finally remember where I put the damn thing.
