GPS software

I have been given an Etrex Legend gps unit and I was after some info on using it. I am in Australia, and it appears the stock software is very rudimentary in its maps (i.e. there are hardly any roads). What is the normal go? Do you buy maps to stick in them, and if so, where do you get them?

Maps

Garmin GPS units come with a basic mapset from the factory. You will want to go to Garmin, and get the mapset for you area. Buy a map that cover the area you are in, that way you will get good detail, and not just a basic coverage.

My map dedicated to just canada show alot more detail that the one that cover Canada and the US. It shows more info on lakes, side road, camping area's ect...
