fuse block relay installment?

Ok I can wire multimillion dollar houses but yet Im asking for advice on this.. be forgiving please..

Ok got the fuse block 12v socket and relay I plan on using got there mounting location dead set ready to wire up..

As far as I can figure is that I would like to tie my relay in after the ignition switch but before the 15amp fuse for the turnsignal/side stand relay..

basically I am an idiot and do not trust myself to not kill my battery by aftermarket devices the 12v socket I am not to worried about but I would rather do it right now with the fuse block for future accessories.

Ok I will quite jabbering about .. here is the question.. beneath that relay is quite a nice bundle of wires.. where have you guys that have done this before tied in your relay? I was hoping I could get away without disassembly but I am beginning to wonder if it just wouldn't make it a so much easier..

oh while im in Techy is it possible to install led lights on a givi trunk without there (expesive) wiring harness?

Click on the diagram at http://www.canyonchasers.net/shop/generic/relay.php A good ignition switched power wire is the brown one in the sheath that runs down the left side on the under seat tray.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.

I get my switched power from the orange & white wire at the dealer test plug, no need to tap a wire, solder a pin to your relay trigger wire and plug it in

I mounted the fuse block inside of a small Tupperware container which I placed where the toolkit goes, the tool kit sits on top of the Tupperware.
I'll be able to pull out the fuse block if I need to get at it. For the Relay I came off the rear right side of seat locking bar with a four hole L bracket, two screws mount it to the cross bar, the top hole on the down side is for the relay and the bottom hole I used for a ground block which is wired directly the battery along with a ground block for the front of the bike. I was able to tap into the brown taillight wire with the blue relay wire behind the left side panel. I picked up a color coded four wire which I'll run from the fuse block to the front of the bike. This setup will give me four keyed power wires and one hot from the factory heated grip plug. I'll have two at the back for headed vest and whatever else I come up with.

Note: make sure your ground is isolated from the chassis.

already done..

I took pics and all did it while the site was down but thanks guys for the links ..

I hooked to an orange wire with a white strip on it.. that was connected to the factory relay to the back left of the battery facing the bike though it did take some snipping and crimping.. got my 12v plug relay and (cheap) fuse block installed

Ill link to some pics later fixen to go for another ride..
