Hi,
I use a GIVI gps holder.

Miscellaneous Soft : S954 GPS HOLDER

Went from Florida to Alaska and back. 4 days of solid rain in Canada..
It did not leak.. Boots leaked, Water got into my directionals.. but not the gps.
I have it on a Richland Rick gps plate with Ram ball.
YMMV but it works for me..

Ram makes the Aqua Box...about 45 bucks. I like mine. It will fit a 4.5 inch screen, don't know about the big 5 inch dudes.

Amizon $12
Fits in side a water resistance case most GPSes will fit. Look by the wind shield. The touch screen still works through it.
