CANBUS on Wee?, lighting question

I've searched and seen this mentioned, but not discussed or answered directly.
I'm wanting to purchase the AdMore lighting kit to add the running, brake, turn lights on to the Givi E41 cases.
Admore has a first generation kit for about $85 and the new version for about $150, so it is a savings if the older version works. I am trying to figure out if anyone knows if these older "clearance" versions do in fact work with no problems on a 2007 Wee.
Thanks for any help!
Their site says:
If you own a motorcycle that was manufactured before 2006, our v.1 controller will work just fine for you (in fact, our v.1 controller will work on newer bikes too as long as your bike does not use CanBus technology) . All of our current LED light kits come with the v.2 controller which makes our light kits compatible with newer model motorcycles and scooters, many of which have more sophisticated electrical systems which often include CanBus, Single wire and PWM technologies. If your bike or scooter does not incorporate these newer technologies, our clearance light kits with the v.1 controller are an amazing deal! You can save over 40% off the regular price of our v.2 light kits.

Stroms have good old fashioned electrical systems, no Canbus.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Please vote in the poll on what Strom(s) you have at
