Help w/ Electrics

Reading some of the threads here, I read that I should upgrade my bike by adding a headlight relay kit to avoid possible electrical melt down.

I've been looking at Eastern Beaver for the needed wiring harnesses. The more I read the more confused I get. I don't think my battery terminals will handle anymore add ons. So far I have the following pigtails on my battery terminals:

1) pigtail for battery tender
2) 12V powerlet (mainly for my GPS, occasionally to charge my phone)
3) pigtail for heated jacket liner & glove liners

I would like to add a voltmeter. I want to do the headlight relay upgrade. I think I would like to add a toggle, rocker or on/off switch to shut down part of my headlights when I'm using my heated liner & gloves.

At some point I want to add additional lights for night riding. Also want to add a "Back-Off" brake module or "Hyperlites."

I'm not sure which harnesses or harness kit(s) to buy from Eastern Beaver &/or fuse block/terminal? Some components from Radio Shack, eBay, Amazon? I don't want to buy harnesses or kits that are redundant. Or buy the wrong or incompatible set up.

Can I do it in stages or would it be better to do it all at once?

Please help me out with some suggestions. Please give me the "Idiot's Guide" version as I have limited electronics experience.

Clearly you need an aux fuse panel like the EB 8 circuit one... The panel would be the only thing at your battery teminals, all your other electrical acc (including the EB H4 relay) will go to the fuse panel...
