This Foot Peg lowering product is worth every penny that I spent on it. Wow! what a difference in the way that my legs feel. I have "tin" knees that get sore if I let them stay in an overly bent position. This little bit of lowering seems to have solved my problem.

I've promised Blair a review, so here it is. I'm 180cm (about 5'11") tall. And stock V-Strom 650 L2 is a little small for me for riding in standing position. Also knees are my second point of discomfort while riding for a long distance. So I've decided to start with the cheapest solution and installed this lowering kit. And it's an amazing solution for the money. It's not a complete answer for my standing position problem, but it's serious improvement. At least now I can stand without bending forward. As for a long ride discomfort now it's gone completely. No.1 problem (butt) was solved with inflatable seat which is about inch higher. No.2 problem (my knees) was solved by this lowering kit.
For the first time I was able to ride for a full tank capacity (about 430km/265 miles) without any stops.
Thanks Blair for a great product.

I just installed this kit yesterday.

After 8 years and almost 40k miles on my bike I came to the conclusion I was getting old. Or at least my knees were. Even with a tall seat.

Kit was straightforward, although I didn't understand why I had two shift linkage extensions...one packed inside and one stapled to the outside labeled as the 'correct' one. Anyway, installation took maybe 30 minutes, from the time the centerstand went down until it was time for a test ride. Instructions were great. Kit components were high-quality.

And what a difference! I became a believer in lowered pegs on a DR650 I had. In the past several years I rode that bike much more than my Strom. After selling it last year I always felt scrunched on my DL and a few medium-length rides this year were really hard on my knees. The DL fits me so much better now. And a quick 150-mile spin last night yielded no discomfort whatsoever.

I'm a happy customer.

Has anyone had issues dragging a lowered foot peg in the twisties?

Purposely tried it last night. Found that 'spot.' I can't say that it's a whole lot more noticeable, but I'm not a counter-leaner. Hanging off the inside - it didn't seem to make a drastic difference. YMMV.

I went to the MotoGP in Austin, my knees were killing me, I order the lowering kit and they got to the house the day after I returned. I installed them this a.m., the original shift rod gave me some problems (being on the bike for 11 years and not moved will do that). E-mailed Blair for support, he answered right away. The rest of the installation was easy and straight forward. I did a little test ride and the improvement was quite noticeable, I will be riding more on Saturday and will report. Thanks SVRacing. By the way the kit is very inexpensive, and looks trick.
