Hey all, I didn't see a tire post when I searched this bike 2014 to 16 thread. So I have a Michelin pilot road4trails on my 14 vstrom. Tread live still fine, but I had a patch installed on front tire 1k miles ago, and despite being fine there's still a small part in the back of my head that doesn't like riding on patched tire even though it's never leaked. I have 0 complaints, have even taken the bike on some dirt roads with success, granted ass was sliding all over the place. Basically I ride almost year round, live in NYC, and see dirt roads prob 4x a year when I go upstate to my parents place up my lake George. In your opinion what is best tire for mileage and asphalt confidence.... My pilots have 7k on them and honestly look almost new, was thinking about just going for pilot road 5s as my last bike(versys) metzlers have very visible wear signs, prob close to toast at 8k... I put 8k on my strom last year, mostly commuting and taking the long way home on nice days with the mountain roads up by Bear mountain when I just wanna relax, not to mention I've taken my biem downstairs like it's my mountain bikes and I'm 17 lol.
