Anyone tried the $100 eBay Chinese rear shock for DL1000?

Is it at all possible for them to sell a shock for $100 that would be worth having? I am of course skeptical but I had to ask just cause

I think I'd rather put that $100 towards a quality rebuild of an OEM shock by someone like Norwest Suspension or Cogent Dynamics. The Chinese are very capable of making decent products, but I think a quality shock at $78 is a case of unfounded optimism....

I put similar shocks on a scooter and was amazed how good they were. Possibly not as good as the original DL1000 shock, but they aren't junk either.

Spend the money and let us know.

Looks like a fantastic shock option to me for a single wheel motorcycle trailer project.

Actually it looks more like a pair of shocks than a mono shock.

A part that fits 3000 different bikes... but the notice says "if the size is different, it will not be installed"

Hmmm

Is your bike that old? My 2014 has a kickass shock, that i adjusted to my liking.

Mine is a 2007 with 50k and I think it's the original shock. But it is working ok.

Perhaps by stating your year, make and model they make one up to suit your particular bike.
I cannot imagine the same shock to be compatible with 3,000 bikes. Imagine a V-Strom sharing the same monoshock with a 1962 Honda Benly Super Sport 125!

"This part is compatible with 3000 vehicle(s). Compatibilities are defined by the seller for vehicles typically fitted for operation within the original listing country."
"Seller posts within 5 days after receiving cleared payment"
