New Tyres - how old is too old?
I just got the recall work, a service, and new Mitas E07's on my 2012 650.
Looking at the tyres the date stamp is 3616 on the front tyre (manufactured 9 months ago), and 4715 on the rear (manufactured 18 months ago).
Do you think these dates are too old to be accepting for new tyres? My main concern is that they have hardened up and on-road traction will be somewhat reduced already. I know that on-road grip is a compromise with these anyway, i just don't want to be losing it before I begin.
I don't go through tyres very quickly, so will most likely have these on the bike for 3 years.
Should I raise this with the shop that i got them from, or just forget about it and ride?
