Hello, everyone. I don't think I've ever introduced myself even though I've been around since 2013. I have a 2006 Wee that I daily and I'm planning a trip from Vegas to Texas so I'm wanting to throw on a car tire. If this upsets you, please turn around [emoji112] [emoji16]

I've read up about the tires most people are using on here but the General Exclaim UHP has been discontinued. I tried looking around and found the Wide Oval Indy 500 UHP but it wouldn't get to me on time for my ride so I settled on what I could find in town.

The tire I bought is the Falken Pro G4 which the guy said was a high performance tire. I haven't tried mounting it yet but wanted to ask if the tread pattern's symmetry (or lack thereof) matters. I'm just wanting something that'll tour better than the Metzelers or Shinkos I've been using. Thanks a lot, guys. [emoji106] Any helpful advice is welcome

...oh, and since I'm introducing myself I'll introduce my machine. K6 Wee with 30k and here it sits fresh from our 2k trip from Vegas to TJ, MX to San Francisco to Sacramento to Fresno and back lol. I just started doing long distances and I'm loving it

A great idea though a swingarm mod might be necessary, and perhaps even a longer shock or some simple rear subframe mods.
It will give great touring mileage, HUGE traction at the lights and your bike stand/s will become unnecessary.

Looking forward to the photo. :smile2:

I stuck with the 205/50/17 that people on here are using. Do you think this specific tire will cause clearance issues? Members running the same size (different brand) tire haven't complained about clearance issues.

I've been running a sumitomo sport tire that has a tread pattern similar to what your picture shows and have not had a problem with them. On one side of the sumi it says "This side out"... LOL
I'm on my 4th sumi, I pay about $75 per and get 11,000 + miles. I didn't need to make any mods to the bike.

Thanks for the response! My biggest worry was the tread pattern which you helped relieve me of. I'll be trying to mount it tonight using my tire spoons. Wish me luck!

I typically ran 25PSI on mine. Play with the tire pressure it makes a HUGE difference in how it handles. I probably ran mine a little lower than others. I tend to do the same thing on my mt bike. I just like the way they feel at the lower pressures. Good luck with it. Welcome to the DARKSIDE!!!!

Two up, loaded to max capacity doing 75 on the slab ~38 mpg. Otherwise mid 40's two up with a full load in mixed driving conditions.

55 mpg for an average week commuting.

Tires set to pressure listed on the sticker on the bike. 33fr/41rear for max load.
