suspension farkles question

I have an 07, working great but want better suspension.

I have the Cogent shock, works great.

All my previous bikes I did valve emulators on the front.

This is my first wee.

Is doing valve a nice feature?
Do you recommend a SF/Bay area shop that will do them?
Any comments (I am sure there are) on progressive vs. linear - I have usual stuck to linear for front, the progressive usually a little less responsive when using valves.

Tx for comments and opinions.

Contact Cogent about their Drop In Damper Cartridges for your Wee. Upgrading the front damping is a big improvement.
