New tire vibrations

I just had my tires changed and now I'm getting a lot more vibrations through the handlebars. Went from Anakee 2 to Shinko 705 front and rear. Previous tires were from the PO, they felt fine. My friend changed and balanced both of the tires with that fancy machine and I put them back on my k5 wee. Cleaned and lubed the axle and spacers, torqued to spec, made sure rear was square.

Immediately notice increased vibes in handlebars, not comfortable at all. Seems to be coming from front tire. It's not so bad at highway speed, but very noticeable around town, especially when rolling to a stop with clutch pulled in. Like I can feel the rotation of the wheel through my grips. My previous tires did not feel like this, nor my tires on my last bike (SV650).

I run 40 psi front and rear, read they should be higher than normal. Previous tires were 33/36. Also read these tires run rougher and louder than others (get what ya pay for), but I haven't heard of such an increase of vibrations. Any help is much appreciated.

I just went from the set of Shinkos to a set of Tourance NEXT tires. The Shinkos do create much more vibration through the front handle bars, but the NEXT tires are more of a street tire. I ran 36 front and 38 back on the Shinkos.

Now, whether the vibrations you are feeling are greater than what I had on my set, there is no way to tell. I just know that the tread design on the Shinkos will create some vibration.

I have the Shinko 705's and they definitely do kick up the vibe meter a fair amount but in my opinion it's not terrible and I can live with it but I'll concede it probably has as much to do with what speed you are traveling at as to how bad it gets. I doubt I'd ever venture over 85 to 90 MPH with those tires, and frankly I'm not in that much of a rush ever to get anywhere where I might really push it beyond that. If I wanted to go faster i would have gotten a sportbike.

Shinko's wear in a bit. They do feel weird at first.I've got 12-14K miles on the front and jsut got back from a back road jaunt to the Sierras. No problems with handling the twisties.
