New rubber

Had a Pirelli Scorpion Trail rear tire installed yesterday. Feels more stable on corners than trail wing that it replaced.

Not too bad, but had 10k on it and was getting low on tread.

I'm still on the OEM Trail Wings and I have to say that they're a decent tire. About 18,000 km on them now and they're still good to go. Was considering the Pirelli Scorpion Trails for the next set, heard good things about them. Are they a 90/10 tire?

I am going next set with Bridgestone T30 sport touring tires

Even though the 19 is a 110-90

I have had bt023 sport touring with no problem including dirt roads and the are pretty cheap for a REAL brand

[2012 DL650] I put about 12,000 on the stock Trailwing rear, then put on a Scorpion trial. I got 16,000 out of that, but should have stopped at about 14,500 (I went to the threads). The Scorpion had much better handling at all speeds, at lest the same handling in heavy rain, was really nice at highway speeds (compared to many dual sport tires that is) and was sweeeet in the corners. However, it didn't suit me because it did very poorly in gravel. I'd give it a 97% 3% rating. I went to a Dunlop TR91 Trailmax which has been a good match for my needs.

We're all here, 'cause we're not all there

It's impossible to have a meaningful comparison when one tire is worn and the other is new. New rubber usually (yes, there are a few exceptions) works better than old, worn, rubber. Some would even argue that unless you run the same loop under similar conditions back to back, even new tires are hard to compare directly.

I had a set of Scorpion Trail on a different bike. They worked well, but didn't last that long (~4K, IIRC).
