Trying out a new rear Street tire

Well, at 28,000 miles rode through my second rear tire. Can't complain really as both were stock Trailwings. To be honest, I rarely ride off road, no RTW trips so far, I decided to grab a street oriented tire. Also being cheap, I wanted to look at alternative tire brands and models. Decided on this as it's also a dual compound since I seem to wear them off flat since the bike is my daily driver for about everything.

Time will tell if they are worth it or not but at under $100 delivered I'll give them a try. Also again using balance beads like on previous tire. So far, I've put 50ish miles on it and seem OK.

Let us know how it works out for you as I'm considering the same type of tire next time...:beatnik:

Will do. Like I say, so far so good but at only 50ish miles can't really say. Looking for longevity more than anything. Well, I guess not more than anything but since it rarely rains here, wet riding is not a priority for me.

Nankang is a Taiwanese tire company that has been around for a long time.

Keep a close eye on the tire in your hot summer riding. If it starts showing any signs of coming apart, get it off. The temperature is the main concern I'd have with an unknown tire.
