Greetings and Salutations from GA

My motorcycle resume: I took delivery of a 2019 1000 XT Adventure about three weeks ago. I also currently own a 2017 KLR 650 that my 17 year old son rides and a 2018 KLR 650 that I also ride. Over the last 25 years or so I've owned a ZX6R, Vulcan, and KLX 250S.

I recently retired from the Air Force after serving 26 years (loved it, but was ready to move on) and I wanted a bike that was a little more road-worthy than my KLR, so here I am! I'm loving the V-Strom so far, it is the most technologically advanced bike I've ever owned and also the first bike I've owned that doesn't have a flippin' helmet lock.

Anyway, I look forward to chatting it up with you fine folks....and most importantly....GO VOLS!!

Helmet Hang Hacks

Roger the thanks for your service, @slapshot ! You will find threads for every aspect of life on here, not just V-Stroms.
People here genuinely want to help one another and it's one of the most civil MC forums on the Information Super Highway.

Your dealer may have a tethered, locking carbiner-type helmet lock that will work. Under the seat on either side are a couple of U- hooks welded to the subframe. Simply slip the loop end over one of the hooks and the carbiner end has a combination lock, and the loop end is locked under your seat.
I discovered the hooks after I bought a license plate holder-type. 🙄

Hola, Lifer from a 2 year guy. With the slapshot moniker you really need to get a hockey puck for the kick stand.
Hope you find the XT a roadworthy ride.
