Hi Storm Troopers
I'm new to V Strom's but I think it might be the best bike I have ever owned! (several)
buoght it 2 months ago and took it thru Death Valley for 4 days! 2012 650.
It has no skid plate, did suzuki offer a factory piece for my year?
Thanks sohcphreek

Welcome to the forum, sohcphreek.

Several skids plates are available and lots of threads here on them. Plug "skid plate" in the "Google Custom Search" box above center and you'll get pages.

I went with SW Motech on my K6 Wee. It required crash bars too. It is on the lighter side for a skid plate but I don't do a lot of heavy duty off-roading, at least not on purpose.

Hola, 4 days in DV? Sounds like fun. Hopefully the weather wasn't too oppressive.
There used to be a small campground behind the store with baths and access to the motel pool.
Unlike the rest of campgrounds in the Park that really suck!
