Greeting everyone from the PNW (Pacific North West).

After many many years with out a bike I had a 2004 DL1000 with 31k miles fall in to my lap last month. Its so nice to be back on a big bike. I've also been a competitive cyclist so these are big bikes

I'm diving in with my usual 200% and consuming all I can as fast as I can as to what's changed with bikes since the early 90's. I'm really enjoying the balance of the Strom and have lofty plans for adventures on it.
bobbyvstrom and Webfors like this.

It's the perfect bike for your neck of the woods.

Welcome to the forum, Chris, from Bremerton. We're almost neighbors! It's a bit of a ride for you, but the local Honda and Indian shop sponsors a Wednesday evening ride each week in good weather. There are two Stroms that often come, me on my '06 1000 and another guy on a 650. Feel free to check with me if you'd like a fellow Trooper on a ride if you come over. They usually last a couple hours and end at a place to eat. I hope to make it tomorrow at 6 at "The Brothers Powersports" in Bremerton. It's a nice ride from Olympia via the back road through Shelton. Enjoy your 1000. Fun bike on our back roads. Bobby 360 271-9731

Welcome to the Forum. Congrats on your K4 Vee. Keep an eye on the Vee's charging system, as some have reported possible stator magnet problems (https://www.stromtrooper.com/dl1000-...-pictures.html).
