My hat's off to you sir. My wife and I took a driving holiday in Ireland about 10 years ago. When we picked up the rental car, I asked why the passenger side mirror was busted up and held together with packing tape. They offered to bring in a different car, but it would take another day. It was a tiny regional airport. Anyway, I soon found out how the rental cars get their mirrors damaged! Very challenging conditions in some areas. I actually knocked the mirror off trying to get around a Range Rover double parked in a little town/farmer's market situation. Had to go back and pick it up. Glad I paid for the rental insurance and not let it ride on AMEX like I usually do. We loved the country, though and went all the way from Cork to The Connaught, Dingle to Dublin. Stayed in a couple of castles...it was awesome. I can't help wondering what it would be like touring on a bike in a country where you drive on the right side

Welcome! My family is originally from Westport, Mayo (about 1845 or so), and I'm also a 2011 650 owner.

My dad and I did a driving trip when he was 78 in 2014, he insisted on being on the rental contract, but didn't turn a wheel. I loved it, we were 2.5 weeks and went all over.

My fiancee and have been planning on booking with Celtic Rider for a while, that's now going to be our honeymoon next September.

Enjoy the ride!

Welcome to the Forum. Congrats on both your return to riding and your L1 Wee. Some good tips for new and returning riders can be found under https://www.stromtrooper.com/riding-proficiency/, like for example https://www.stromtrooper.com/riding-...ce-riding.html. Ride safe.
