Hi, my name is Craig & I'm a cycle-aholic.
Owner and rider of multiple bikes. My beautiful and loving Bride thinks I have an issue because of the seemingly constant purchasing (and selling). However, when I compare motorcycles to women's shoes, the scale seems to balance out. 
Currently in the garage are a 2002 ST1100 (2nd one), a 2017 Triumph Trophy SE and now a VERY low mileage 2004 DL1000 (hence my joining of your great forum)! Actually the DL1000 has only been paid for, but is in a trailer somewhere between it's old home and mine. Live near Houston, Texas and enjoy being on two wheels. Haven't perused the website yet, but will so I can see what the "stromtrooper" life is all about.

Hola, most of us are guilty of multiple bike needs. Some all one brand, some fickle and will buy whatever is pretty and shiny.
I've had a garage full of BMW's at one time, now only 1 bmw and two Stromms.

My problem is I buy new bikes but fail to sell the old ones....up to 5 now

I'm right there with the OP .
3 in the garage, and a 4th is my son's awaiting for me to tear into the carburetors...like 2 of mine.
'81 CB750K + '00 ZRX1100 + '99 SV650= 10 carbs to play footsies with by the end of this month. Meanwhile, my Vstrom sits in the garage looking at the other 3 and laughing at them.
When I told my wife I was buying another bike as a retirement present for myself, I got the expected."You already have 2--how many do you need?" spiel.
I asked her how many shoes and purses she needed. No answer.
When bike shopping she she alternated between being disinterested and pissed-off. FJR1300, Versys 1000, Super Tenere, and Africa Twin were all being considered
Until... she saw the stupid-cheap price I negotiated for my leftover/new '14 DL1K.
Then..all of a sudden, she brightened up and was all smiles. It wasnt that I was buying a bike that did that--it was that I was getting a bargain! She was all on-board with that!
