Riding conditions in WNC / NGA

Any specific areas to stay away from? Since there was a weather advisory in the area and temperatures are low, are there big chances of slick spots in the shaded areas of the mountains that anyone knows of? I do want to go for a ride but not enough to kill me.

If you're thinking of riding today - heading into the mountains north of you - I believe I'd postpone the trip a week. I'm looking out my window at completely snow-covered ground and snow is still coming down.

I'm located very near the North Carolina mountains. I don't know what the situation would be in Georgia. Probably better is my guess. Maybe lots better.

I'm in southwest Virginia. About 150 miles north of you.

Heading up into N. Georgia in about 30 minutes. It's cold, but clear.

Thanks. Just checked the weather around Gainesville, GA and Franklin, NC and it seems like the sensible thing to do is to spend the day with the family and postpone the ride
