Leaving Tomorrow

Im heading out tomorrow morning for VA and WV. The plan is to ride up to the BRP then onto the Sky Line PKWY. Afterwards find a two lane route to Harpers Ferry WV and then back to my familys house in Clear Creek WV. If things go well I will have three days of riding and a couple days with the family before heading back to NC.

It's always nice to ride during the weekdays when the roads are not as busy. :beatnik:

It's kind of strange, how the mountains pay us no attention at ll. You laugh or cry and the wind just keeps on blowing.

The ride was nice! Even with the 100+ degree heat!

I'll have to post up the ride report later in the week.

1st day 375 miles
2nd day 281 miles
3rd day 310 miles

Stayed with family for two days in WV and the return home ride was another 200 miles. Grand total of trouble free miles was 1166 :beatnik:

Best MGP on the trip was 51.

Made the BRP/Skyline trip in June. Was cool as long as you stayed on the parkway, come down from the ridge though and temps went up just like anywhere else. Didn't enjoy it as much as I could have due to a reoccuring pain in my shoulder but did enjoy stop overs at Grandfather Mtn and Natural Bridge.
