Smile Florida Strom rider visiting Memorial Weekend

This Florida Strom rider is meeting up with a few friends over the Memorial Weekend and could use a little help. We are planning on meeting in the Knoxville TN. area and will be camping for 2 nights. We are looking for a campground in the general area that will accept tenting. Also, any suggestions on some good riding in the area?
We will be arriving mid-afternoon on Saturday and staying until Monday morning. Wish the stay could be longer, but the usual things will be calling us back home. Friends will be coming from Newark NJ area and Grand Rapids MI. area. We all used to live close when we all lived in Northern IL. Just a chance to get to see old friends again.
Thanks in advance for the help.

I don't know about the Knoxville area but about 70 miles south around Tellico Plains there is a lot of camping and a lot of good riding. The Cherohala Skyway is great, the Dragon is so-so. Most of the roads from Tellico Plains to Maryville and up into Knoxville or east into North Carolina are very good riding roads.

Scott;

Thanks for the reply. I should have added more info to my posting. We (all 3 of us) have made the trip to the Dragon and the Skyway. Looking to find new areas to ride and see. The areas you mention are great, but time for new roads this trip. Never know though, might just have to make that part of my return trip on Monday.
Thanks again for for your response.
