Mechanic Recommendation- North Atlanta

Hi All,

Just thought that I'd pass along some info on a good independent mechanic in the Cartersville, GA (About 60 miles North of Atlanta). He's knows his stuff and was very thorough going through the bike. In fact he's a mechanic trainer. Does this part-time from his home on the weekends so you may have to be patient to get scheduled with him. One bonus, you can either drop the bike off, stay and watch or even help.

Here's his website: http://factoryfranks.webs.com/

Work I had done: Change oil / filter, air filter, spark plugs, Engine diagnostics (he has the computer programs), TB and TP check (no adjustment needed), chain tighten, and fork spring replacement. Took about 4 hours. I brought all the parts.

PM if you want more info.

Thanks,
T

Appreciate the info. I live in Marietta and will probably give him a shot this summer with a valve ck/adjust. I had a TBS and engine coolant/brake fluid change (11k on bike) at Suzuki Bartow County up in that area a year ago. I thought they did a good job but the price seemed like highway robbery. Think it was about $300-350, if I remember correctly. They did give my bike a good once over and adjusted the clutch as well, so I have no complaint on the service itself. But I cringe when I think what they would charge on a valve ck/adj.
