Rogues,Carpetbaggers and Story Tellers

OK Western Carolinas, Anyone interested in a weekend campout and ride?
I am looking foward to a long ride in the mountains and hearing some stories around a campfire.
I found a campground that welcomes motorcycles and drink. Not that drink is a necessary but it makes stories taller if your telling
and more believable if you are listening. It is called the Lazy J Campground at hwy 215 in Rosman.
I could be talked into making chili for the evening meal prior to the drink and story telling.
So howboutcha any interest? I would hope Quip Artist Norm, and Master story weaver Brown would attend. Such talent should not be wasted on the net. What say you.

It just figures, now that I am old and wise enough to stop and smell the roses, I would lose my sense of smell.

18th?

As fate would have it, that weekend is the only one in October not already booked with some sort of MC event. Further, I believe that my lovely bride has some sort of girls event planned for that week end so, if that's the time, I'll book a night in jail for Jake the Mutant Dog and go.

MikeD,

I will be passing through the west end of NC on Thurs the 16th or Fri the 17th on my way to Barber. If you guys get some place positive set up I'll try and fit it into my schedule and at least stop by for coffee.

Pleased to see you can make it, Larry. Hope to see you as well Doug.
I want to let everyone know this is not just a Strommer convention. All folks are welcome if you have friends bring them along. If you are from out of the Carolinas and like to ride the parkway and mountains please join us. I will try to set up several different types of rides. ( Paved ,Gravel),(Paved Twisties),or(Meandering Mountain rds.)Just depends on the turnout. I may need born leaders to help escort the troops.
Come on lets do this thing!

There's a chance I might need to be away.

If I'm around, count me in.

If I can buy enough gasoline to get there.

Any preferred destinations?

boring leaders

I'm all over it. Where exactly do you wish to be lost? How many wrong turns are you up to? I am the man that led my friends (well, he was my friend) up "Mule Hell Rd" (for real that was it's name) (somewhere in Virginia as I recall) and while we stayed upright, we really had no business doing so. He still speaks to me so I guess it was alright.

Suggestions are most welcome, Norm. I know this is your back yard, you know the routes as well as anyone.
