posting google maps

Ive seen others post a google map, but for the life of me I can't seem to get it to happen, all I get is a page full of code ??

What am I doing wrong ?

In the upper RH corner of the map, there's a 'link' button in GoogleMaps. I then clicked on "Customize and preview embedded map" and copied and pasted from block 3 of the new window...
...after I mod'd the view of the map as I intended...

Oh wow. Didn't realize they (Stromtrooper bigwigs) allow html in posts. Most sites don't.

i figured he just meant like this
Hell, MI - Google Maps

the embedded map never worked for me either until just right now when i tried it but didn't post it cuz i was trying to do the one that i did they way that i did it.

maybe your not copying the entire code, mudrat.

upper right hand corner of the map, select link. it opens a box. copy the two fields and paste them into you post (one at a time). see what happens. make sure you copy the entire code.

Neither of those lines of code works for what the Op wants.

The first line allows you to create links which her already uses and the second creates HTML code that does not appear to be recognised correctly by this forums software.
