Forum breaking off in chunks

"Your Notifications" said I had 4 when I logged in today, and when I click on it, it takes me to "New Subscribed Threads", and then tells me I am not subscribed to any. I went out to walk the dog and now it says I have 5 but nothing subscribed.

A few days ago I noticed if I click on "Forum Tools", I used to be able to select "Mark This Forum Read" from a drop down menu there, but now it jumps me to the bottom of the page and I am able to select "Mark This Forum Read" from a small "Forum Tools" on the bottom left of the page.

Is someone mucking around with the code?

Oh and the "Post Quick Reply" button at the bottom of "Quick Reply" no longer works.

"Like" no longer works either. I cleared my cookies, did nothing.

Notifications now says 6, wonderful. I wonder if it will eventually implode.

I was having a very similar problem, Bugzy, which just started yesterday. Same thing as you; notifications took me to the new subscribed threads page, couldn't access the notifications at all, no one's avatar was showing up, I couldn't access the photos in my photo album, etc. Had the same problem whether I used Google or Firefox. Tried all kinds of things throughout the day, including turning off my ad blocking software (UBlock Origins). That didn't work earlier in the day, but finally yesterday evening while I was trying different solutions, I turned off the ad blocking software again, and this time it worked. It wasn't enough to add this site to the whitelist on the ad blocking software; I had to turn UBlock Origins off in order to make the site work correctly.

With more than one of us having this problem, not to mention other problems experienced by other members, it seems obvious that there's been some sort of changes made to the site that is affecting the way some of us are accessing it. I definitely don't like the idea that I'm being forced to turn off my ad blocker just so I can use the forum properly.

My problems started yesterday as well, all of the above plus putting the mouse on "Forums" no longer opens a pull down menu. It is still the same today.

My cure was to ignore my existing Opera browser and download a brand new Mozilla Firefox install. All problems solved, and yes, they have surely done something with their code down at home base.

Disabling Adblock plus seemed to have fixed these issues, but now I am concerned the code is doing something in the background without my permission. Turned it back on again.

I don't want advertising or monitoring software loading in the background. The internet is scary enough without others constantly trying to find ways to figure out who/what/where/when/why and sometimes how.

Too many problem threads. Let's use https://www.stromtrooper.com/rules-fo...ml#post4667329 only for further discussion.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Hey guys,

Many of the site features use scripts in order to work. If you are blocking these scripts through plugins such as Ghostery or some adblock programs, then those features will not work.

If you don't want to remove the plugins, the other options is the check the settings of the program to allow verticalscope.com so you don't need to disable your adblock plugin.

Some of the more common adblocks:

If you have Ghostery - unselect verticalscope in tracking

For Adblock Plus - add verticalscope to white list

For those using Ublock Origin, please do the following:
1.  Go to ublock’s dashboard
2.  Go to My Rules Tab
3.  Under temporary rules click edit
4.  At the top of the list put in * verticalscope.com * allow
a.  This is complete with the * and spaces between
5.  Hit save
6.  Hit commit
7.  Refresh the site

Let us know if this works for you and/or if you need further assistance.

Thank you,
Natalie
