How to ignore sub-forums?

There are certain sections of the forum that don't interest me.
Sometimes they show up in 'new posts' that I don't care to see.
Is there a way as part of my profile to select certain forums that I don't want to see? I poked around but didn't see that option.
Thanks!

I don't see how. If you use the New Posts button, scan the titles for what interests you. Otherwise, check the forums that interest you. I always use the New Posts button but I check often and mark the forums read after each session. The New Posts button has a cut off of 100 posts so going all day without checking makes it likely some posts will go unseen.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

OK, no worries. I also follow the st-owners.com forums and enjoyed that option there, so I thought I'd ask.
Thanks for the reply.

I had long wished it were an option here. There was one thread from the Canadian Troopers (I dare not mention the name lest I revitalize interest) that was of absolutely no relevance to me, but came up so often in New Posts as to be annoying - to me, I am sure it was quite enthralling to the posters.

Thanks for the reply.
st-owners.com is on the same forum software as us. If you could find out what plug in they have added to the forum to let you ignore forum sections, then we can look into adding it here.

Cheers,

I scan the new posts a couple times a day and if a title doesn't catch my interest I don't open it. Simple.
I've learned a lot by inadvertently reading a thread though.
On the F800 site I was able to block stuff, like the French threads. My pobably loss though.
