Premium membership......?

What is in the "Stormtrooper private members forum"? Trying to decide whether to upgrade or not. Is there a flea market somewhere on this site?

Sorry for the noob questions but I can't find answers to these two questions.

Thanks in advance!

The value of the general forum makes it worth supporting. I haven't knowingly visited a members only forum in a long time.

There isn't a $tromtrooper members only forum any more.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

I don't mind supporting the site, I am just trying to understand what exactly changes after upgrading to a "Premium Membership"

Is it just the good feeling I will get of supporting the site or is there really access to another private portion of the board for Premium Members?

Thanks in advance to anyone who will give me an honest, factual explanation.

Sell me, I am ready to be sold........

i don't have a premium membership so i have no idea of any advantages. but i have seen many post here about being charged for it when not authorized. as for selling stuff, you need to be a plain old member with the magic amount of post and time registered. again, this is my opinion from what i have read on here, but i think this forum is owned by a corporation that makes money off websites. somebody knows for sure and will clarify later.

As a premium member, I don't perceive any particular advantage, but I seem to recall complaints/comments about a lot of the kinds of ads and such I see on other sites of which I am not a paying member. I see no such ads, so that might be a perk.

premium ?

Some body has to pay the freight. I like this site and just figure it's worth supporting.

Road Toads Charter Member - old guy goes stromabout on a 2007 Vee and finally has touched all of the 48 contiguous United states and the 10 Canadian provinces.

This site is now owned by a corporation. Might not be here if this had not happened. Most owners don't know how much work and money it takes to keep a site like this running. Especially running right, and this site is a very, very good site. Thanks to Greywolf and others for seeing to that.

Two reasons for premium membership as I see it, one is the money supports the site ( if it isn't paying for the time it takes to keep it up...it won't be here ), and I believe the premium membership reduces the number of advertising banners you will see.

This forum is only as good as its members make it. Where else can you get information on maintenance, events, farkles, etc. better and faster than here? What is that worth?

+1
There are members here that give *way* more than they take out of this place... Since I don't think I'll ever be in a position to make that claim, it's well worth the donation for me just to see the site perpetuate...

Besides, you pay *way* more than that for your cycle mag subscriptions, and they don't respond to your questions... (and I've yet to find a Strom specific cycle rag)...
