posting pictures

How do I get a picture from Flickr to a for sale post.
The photo posting sticky most often referenced, demonstrates the authors ability to post photos but I feel does little to inform the unenlightened as to how to proceed.
When posting,I am selecting (insert an image) , a popup asks for a url. I select share on flickr and try all the options but end up with only text in the post, no image. Thanks Jim M

I right click the picture on Flickr. Foxfire shows a "copy image location" that I click and then paste into the popup. In IE, I click properties and copy the address(URL) to paste into the popup.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

When I enter the url into the popup, I see

in the body of the post
but no image.
I end up with a tiny square with a red X.
Thanks

the text should end up looking like this without the spaces:

[ img]http://www.myimage.com/myimage.jpg[/img ]

If you copy the above in to your post but replace the http part with your image location it should work. The url has to be formatted correctly. remove the spaces on next to th [ and ] brackets

you can use http://imgur.com/ to host your pics for free

I end up with a tiny square with a red...

the problem with that is the http://http:// in the url... and the fact that there is no reference to the image... the .jpg part
and the fact that the album is set to private. So there are a few issues
