Question Suspension stiffness/preload

Hi, first of all... is suspension preload the same as suspension stiffnes??

Let's say I set the preload at X (using the knob) to ride on asphalt. Should I increase it or decrease it if I ride on gravel road? What about dirt/off road?

thanks

You use preload set sag. It has zero effect on spring stiffness. This link has more info.

Thanks for the link?suspension settings have always felt like dark arts to me, but I?ve experienced how amazing a well-sorted suspension can be.
